Hand woven Kākahu
This beautiful handwoven ‘Kākahu’, cloak, was lovingly bought to life over a 16-month period. It is a magnificent example and a testament to the patience and skill of the weaver. Bound by cotton caulking cord and comprising of Emu and Pheasant feathers, (skinned here at the whare), with a handwoven tāniko, this is truly a very, very special piece.
