‘Tihei Mauri Ora’ – ‘The Sneeze of Life’, is an artwork for colouring album of 15 hand drawn illustrations by established Tā Moko and multimedia artist, Paitangi Ostick.

Incorporating traditional Māori patterns with contemporary expression, each image tells the story of Māori mythology and cosmology within Paitangi’s world, with an accompanying narrative and whakataukī (Maori proverb).

Tihei Mauri Ora provides a platform for readers to engage with the stories and teachings of Te Ao Māori and then invites them to explore their own creativity by colouring in each design.
